Elegance and Sophistication at Settler's Country Manor, Waimauku, Auckland - Romantic Timeless Images

I was raised just around the corner from this venue and spent many of my childhood and teenage years in the area. My cousin's wedding took place at Settler's Country Manor about 30 years ago, and that was the last time I visited. So, I was thrilled to get a booking from Amy and Mahia and noticed online how the venue's aesthetic has evolved since my last visit.
From the moment you walk in the door into their main reception room, the ambient mood and abundance of chandeliers will make your jaw drop. This low light space lit so perfectly with what feels like a decadent amount of beautiful lights dropping from the high ceilings feels very lux, and it is easy to get swept away in imagining the possibilities for an elegant celebration in this sophisticated space. And as a photographer who thrives in this moody light environment, my head was spinning with inspiration for shots from the second I entered the room. I arrived the day before the wedding to scout the venue, and to plan my timings for the day to make the most of the limited daylight we had being a winter wedding, and also to plan for lots of off camera flash work to showcase the couple, and to do this incredible venue justice.
This venue has you covered, no matter what the weather gods decide to do for your wedding day, generous spaces inside and out for your ceremony and reception - I felt very confident to get a spectacular gallery for this couple even if the weather turned, or we ran out of light due to cloud cover.
A larger bridal party of 10 was easy to photograph because of the generous spaces at Settler's Country Manor - there are beautiful backdrops in every direction.
The enormous windows in the main reception room were a dream to photograph with, and the vision of having Amy placed in front of those came to life with her magnificent dress by Astra Bridal.
I cannot wait for my next booking at this incredible venue.
